Susanne, do you think you could come up with a rowboat design with a stern that opened and formed a ramp for a wheelchair to enter?
Do you think that rather than oars you could rig some sort of paddlewheel type if mechanism that the handicapped person could then "row" with while sitting forward?

I was thinking we could build such a boat at the Maritime Heritage Center for wheelchair bound folks. I am convinced funds would be available to build one or two. I could not find such a craft on the internet and surely it would be a welcome effort. Thanks!
